I'm going to try to install again soon using nfs and, if that doesn't work, I'll move down to a 2.4 kernel. Thanks for the advice. I'll keep updating this blog with my progress. I'm pretty sure Ubuntu 6.06 uses a 2.6.x kernel. The kernel I used for Slackware was 2.4.x. Compared to both of these, the original Qube3 OS 2.2.x kernel is very small.
